Elf School Of the Arts
Nestled just beyond the Georgia-North Carolina border, the Elf School of Arts in Hayesville NC provided the perfect retreat for creative exploration. With dedicated studios for darkroom photograph, painting, and printmaking, the space fostered both focused practice and collaboration inspiration.
During my time at the residency, I reconnected with the darkroom process, refining my skills in large format and pinhole photography. The environment also sparked a deeper exploration of video storytelling, where I crafted a series that narrates the feminine shift to the occult, breakiing away from the Ango-Saxon traditions. This culminated in a ritual of release, symbolizing a departure from the past and embrace of the new creative and spiritual pathways.
